Locations

Locations are places where items are kept, such as Fridge, Pantry or Storage. Find them under Locations in the menu.

Adding a location #

Type a name in the new location field (e.g. Hall cupboard). Each location gets an identifier that can be printed as a label.

Sub-locations #

Split a location into parts such as shelves or boxes: open it and choose Add sub-location. Locations form a tree, and the list shows what each contains and what expires next.

The location page #

The location page shows its contents, their value and recent movements. You can take or move items directly from the list and add items with Add here.

Label #

Attach the ID label to the shelf or box. Scanning it opens the location's page, and when scanning it sets the location for the next records. Print contents list prints what's inside.

Location types and deleting #

Location types (e.g. cold storage) group and filter locations. A location can be deleted when it is empty and has no sub-locations; it goes to the trash.
