Frequently asked questions

Missing menu items, inviting a family member, offline use, price and more.

Updated 6 November 2026

Why can't I see a menu item or button? #

There are three reasons:

  1. Permissions: you only see what you have permission for in the domain. Ask the domain's administrator to add you to a suitable group; see Domains and members.
  2. The app isn't installed: tasks, calendar, shopping list and finance are enabled per domain; see Apps.
  3. You've hidden it from your own menu; see Your settings and menu.

How do I invite a family member who has no account? #

They first need a Merisaukko ID, which for now can only be created by invitation. Ask for an invitation at [email protected]. Once they've signed in to Ohjuri once, invite them to the domain.

Does Ohjuri work offline? #

Yes: inventory, shopping list, task and finance records are saved on the device and sent when the connection returns. See Outbox and offline use.

Can I use Ohjuri on several devices? #

Yes. Sign in with the same Merisaukko ID on your phone and computer; the data is the same everywhere. You can also install Ohjuri as an app.

I deleted something by mistake. Can I get it back? #

Yes, from the trash for 30 days.

Who can see the domain's data? #

The domain's members, according to their permissions. Members and their groups are listed under Domain settings → Members. Who did what is shown in the activity log.

Why don't I get notifications on my phone? #

Enable push notifications on that device and allow them in the browser. On iPhone, Ohjuri must first be added to the Home Screen. See Notifications and emails.

A barcode doesn't find my item #

The item doesn't have that code yet. The Scan page offers to create a new item or add the code to an existing one; see Scanning and barcodes.

How much does Ohjuri cost? #

Ohjuri is currently free.

How do I download or delete my data? #

See Downloading your data and Deleting your Ohjuri account.
