Items

Adding items, details, categories, the alert level and the item page.

Updated 6 November 2026

Items is the domain's register of things: what you have, where it was bought and how much of it there is. Quantities and batches are in inventory.

Item list

Adding an item #

  • Quickly: type a name in the quick-add field.
  • New item: give a name (e.g. Laundry detergent). Ohjuri creates an identifier and opens the details for editing.
  • By scanning: if no item matches a barcode, the Scan page offers to create one with that code.

The list #

Search by name or identifier and filter by category and item type. Columns include stock, alert level and average price. Low means the stock is below the alert level.

Custom fields (e.g. colour or power) are added under Attributes and can have their own column in the list.

The item page #

The item page shows:

  • the item details and custom fields
  • total in stock, its value and batches per location (quantity, expiry, purchase price)
  • the stock history and movements
  • Prices per supplier and Attachments (receipts, manuals, pictures)

Record a take-out, addition or transfer changes the stock directly from the page. The menu has Change history, Share to chat, label printing and Delete. Deleted items go to the trash.

Alert level #

With an alert level, Ohjuri marks the item as low when stock drops below it, and demand planning suggests it for the shopping list. An automation can also add it to the list for you.
